LEGAL NOTICE

GDPR statement - Published 9/9/2023 

Dear Customer, 

I have the responsibility to follow the law in regards to your information. The personal information must be readily available in regards to how it’s collected, stored and used.

Clients provide Name, Email +/- phone numbers for their bookings or purchases of images. This information is stored on my personal laptop which is password protected alongside anti-virus. My laptop is stored in a house with doors that lock, and I only complete administration work here on a secure network. 

Currently the images are uploaded to my website www.katgrantphotography.co.uk for gallery viewing. There are some images that are currently used for marketing on this website and Kat Grant Photography on facebook and Instagram with written consent from the client, from the time of writing this statement. Images can always be deleted, please simply make contact. 

Images are stored on my secure, password protected computer. Once a service is complete and images supplied to the client, their images are transferred to a portable hard drive which is kept in my secure home, and is also password protected. I, Katherine Grant only have access to this equipment. 

Paid service images are stored for 1 year. After 1 year the images are destroyed. Please ensure you back up your files as once destroyed, they cannot be retrieved. Wedding images are stored for 2 years and then destroyed. 

Other personal information such as name, email and phone number may be stored for up to 3 years for tax purposes. At 3 years they will be deleted off my laptop/external hardrive as no longer required. It should also be noted that I do not share your personal information with anyone; name, email and phone number. If you require this deleted sooner please make contact. 

For marketing of this business, images will be deleted when no longer in use by myself. If you require them deleted sooner, please make contact. All marketing images used for Kat Grant Photography from the date of this statement, require consent from the individual identified. 

I have checked with the Information Commissioners Office via a business self assessment, which state I do not to pay a GDPR fee for this small business, but GDPR law still applies.

Insurance 

For your interest I have insurance for public indemnity, public liability and for my personal equipment. I would always prevent anything adverse happening, but you never know. 

DBS

For your interest, in my main job I have a current, up to date, criminal record check every 60 days. This is for children and adults which I have no convictions.
